In a celebration of dedication, service, and excellence, the Girl Guides Association of St. Vincent and the Grenadines recognized 18 outstanding Girl Guides who were honoured with the Chief Commissioner’s Award-Guiding’s highest national honour at the World Thinking Day celebrations on Saturday.
This esteemed award acknowledges Girl Guides who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to the fundamentals of girl guiding, leadership, and community service.
Under the 2025 World Thinking Day theme, “Our Story,” these young women stood proudly,
representing the next generation of leaders in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Their achievements serve as an inspiration to their peers and a testament to the impact of the Girl Guides
Association in shaping confident, responsible, and service-oriented individuals.

The awardees and their Companies include: Annaliese Mapp – No. 1 Kingstown Girl Guides Company, Alysson Ambrose – No. 1 Kingstown Girl Guides Company, Arianne Kirby – No. 1 Kingstown Girl Guides Company, Isabella Sam – No. 1 Kingstown Girl Guides Company, Jaida Jackson – No. 1 Kingstown Girl Guides Company, Kaci-Ann Primus – No. 1 Kingstown Girl Guides Company, Kathryn Miller – No. 1 Kingstown Girl Guides Company, Leah Nanton – No. 1 Kingstown Girl Guides Company, Leanique Balkaran – No. 1 Kingstown Girl Guides Company, Samaya Duncan – No. 1 Kingstown Girl Guides Company, Zaronique Forbes – No. 1 Kingstown Girl Guides Company, Anicia DeRoché – No. 2 Marriaqua Girl Guides Company, Mya Cumberbatch – No. 3 Kingstown Girl Guides Company, Nyah James – No. 3 Kingstown Girl Guides Company, Akilah Gill – No. 27 Kingstown Girl Guides Company, Sarai Samuel-John – No. 27 Kingstown Girl Guides Company, Shania Williams – No. 27 Kingstown Girl Guides Company, and Zaire Dyer – No. 28 Kingstown Girl Guides Company.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Commissioner of the Girl Guides Association of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Laura Browne commended the awardees noting that: “Each of these remarkable young women has embraced the values of Girl Guiding and has shown unwavering dedication to serving their communities. Their achievements today mark not only their personal success but also a bright future for our movement and our country.”
The Girl Guides Association extended heartfelt congratulations to these exceptional young women and expressed profound gratitude to the dedicated Guiders, mentors, and families who have supported them on this journey.
