Taiwan and SimplyHelp Foundation Donate Over US$66,000 in Supplies to SVG

Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Her Excellency Fiona Huei-Chun Fan, on behalf of the SimplyHelp Foundation, handed over donations of supplies to the Minister of National Mobilisation and Social Development Keisal Peters at West St. George Secondary School recently.

Minister of Education and National Reconciliation Curtis King, Officers from the Ministry of Education, over 150 teachers and students, and people affected by Hurricane Beryl were invited to witness the handing-over ceremony.

The items included shoes, toys, sport equipment, nutrition supplements, wheelchairs and more, with the estimated value of over US$66,000.

Ambassador Fan extended special thanks to the SimplyHelp Foundation, a non-profit charity organization located in Los Angeles, California, USA, founded by Ms. Tina Bow.

Taiwan and St. Vincent and the Grenadines enjoy 44 years of profound friendship and robust collaboration across various fields. Ambassador noted that they are in collaboration with health, agriculture, and education.

This includes the construction of the Arnos Vale Acute Hospital (AVACH), the introduction of young farmers to advanced smart agriculture, and Taiwan scholarships.

The SimplyHelp Foundation hopes to help the communities of St. Vincent and the Grenadines get through its hardships, especially with the catastrophic effects of Hurricane Beryl.

Minister Peters appreciated the SimplyHelp Foundation’s generosity and further reaffirmed the fruitful achievements and everlasting partnership between Taiwan and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
