St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ newest author hopes to enlighten people about God’s word with her book, The Unshakeable Pilgrim.

The book is written by Trinidadian-Vincentian author and evangelist Brenda White-Myers. White-Myers is a wife, pastor, mother of two, grandmother of five, and a devoted Christian.

According to White-Myers, the inspiration for the book came after seeing the scourge of violence among young people. She wanted to write something to deter young people from violence and give them a book filled with lessons and teachings to steer them onto the right path.

As a mother and grandmother, she wanted to leave something for her grandchildren and everyone to use as a guide through life’s ups and downs.

White-Myers hopes to remind the Vincentian public and the youth that there are different paths to solving conflicts. She hopes people will read the book and choose a life of God and peace.

She said God has promised people a way, and the book serves as a reminder that everyone should turn to God’s word.
