Celebrities Showcase Canouan to Millions Following Tommy Hilfiger Event

Numerous international fashion influencers and actors who posted about Canouan while attending a recent Tommy Hilfiger event have generated millions of impressions for the island on social media.
Details about the event itself are scarce; however, it is known that it took place at the internationally renowned Soho Beach House in Canouan in late March. Reports indicate that Tommy Hilfiger booked the venue for this occasion, which coincided with his birthday on March 24.
Tommy Hilfiger is an American fashion designer whose brand is globally recognized.
Influencers such as fashion model Calum Harper, American actor Michael Rainey Jr., Indian actor Anupam Tripathi, and Colombian TV hostess Laura Tobón widely shared their experiences during an undisclosed event on the tiny island in the Southern Grenadines, which is home to many billionaires. Posts were made from March 24 to 31, with some influencers continuing to share their experiences up to April 2.
On Facebook and Instagram, Calum Harper described the hotel as “paradise” and thanked @_woodynyc and the entire @tommyhilfiger team for making him a part of their family. Mr. Harper has more than 300,000 followers on Facebook and over 1.6 million followers on Instagram.
Actor Michael Rainey Jr., who stars as Tariq St. Patrick in Starz’s hit drama series Power Book II: Ghost, posted photos of himself on a yacht in Canouan on March 25. His caption on both his Facebook and Instagram pages read: “Hilfiger state of mind. @tommyhilfiger #TommyFamily.”
On April 2, he shared more photos from his visit to Canouan with the caption: “Lowkey still on island time. @tommyhilfiger #tommyfamily #thfamily.”
Mr. Rainey has over 3.5 million followers on Instagram, with one of his posts from Canouan receiving more than 156,000 reactions.
On March 29 and 31, Indian actor Anupam Tripathi, known globally for his role in Netflix’s Squid Game (2021), posted a photo and a video about his experience in Canouan. In the video shared on his Instagram page, he said, “Life is full of laughter, love, and good times with you all @tommyhilfiger family at the paradise called the islands of Canouan…”
Mr. Tripathi has 2.5 million followers on Instagram.
Ms. Laura Tobón, who has over 4 million followers on Instagram, posted a photograph from a one-on-one interview with Mr. Hilfiger. The caption read: “One-on-one with his birthday at the Hilfiger Resort #TommyFamily.”
