Young Entrepreneurs Represent SVG at Global Congress in Venezuela

A group of nine young entrepreneurs from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines departed on Tuesday for Venezuela to participate in the 1st International Congress of Entrepreneurs, themed “Connect, Create and Undertake!” The event runs from April 23 to 25 and is hosted by the Bolivarian Government of Venezuela.

The entrepreneurs represent various productive sectors, including agriculture, fashion, tourism, and natural products. They will join over 300 participants from around the world, including 39 from the Caribbean, for three days of networking, workshops, and business development opportuns.

Before their departure at Argyle International Airport, Head of the Venezuelan diplomatic mission Francisco Pérez Santana met with the group to outline logistics and highlight the importance of the Congress in fostering international collaboration and economic growth.

“This is an opportunity to connect with global businesses, explore Venezuelan culture, and exchange successful experiences,” Pérez Santana said.

Eniye Kagbala, owner of Carib-Beans SuperFoods Coffee, shared her goal of learning about Venezuela’s coffee industry and forming new business partnerships. Jonathan Durrant, representing the local agricultural sector, expressed pride in representing SVG and hopes to bring back valuable insights for local farmers.

The Vincentian delegation includes:  Onica Isakedia Charles – Tour Operator, Leanne Clarke – Youth Council/Marketing Consultant, Eniye Daisy Kagbala – Carib-Beans SuperFoods Coffee, Jonathan Durrant – SVG Farmers’ Unit, Kimya Jamala Glasgow – Fashion Designer, Gaidell Wenque Andrews – Business Development Center, Jasmin Nicola Deane – Jazzy’s All Natural, Rayshorn Dalon Calson Richardson – SVG Chamber of Commerce and Nadine Cecile Agard-Juillerat – Invest SVG.

The Bolivarian Government of Venezuela organizes this Congress for entrepreneurs to promote innovation and creativity, establish links for the export of products between nations, and promote the economic development of the people. During this congress, attendees will participate in different work tables, business exhibitions, presentations by professionals in different economic areas, bilateral sessions and will visit successful business experiences in Venezuela.
