One News SVG can confirm that two people, including a 7-year-old child are hospitalized at the Milton Cato Memorial hospital after being shot tonight (May 16) in Belmont.
At least two more people are feared dead as a result of the incident.
The other person hospitalized with gunshot wounds is an adult male.
UPDATE: The death toll in the Belmont shooting has increased to three (3).
The perpetrator(s) of the shooting are unknown at this time, but residents said someone opened fire at a shop just below the Primary School in Belmont shooting several people.
The residents told One News SVG it appeared to be an armed robbery.
Among the dead is said to be a woman who is an agricultural goods trafficker.
