With swift police and community action, one person has so far been arrested and charged in connection with the triple homicide at Belmont on 16 May.
Police are still searching for other suspects.
At a press conference held on Monday, Commissioner of Police Mr Enville Williams said that on Saturday, 24 May, one person was arrested for the murders. “That one individual is one Kesroy Ryan, he is 25 years old from Lowmans Windward, and he is a labourer.”
Update: Police have since corrected the address to Lowmans Leeward. (Updated at 4:42 p.m., on May 26).
“Later on today, he will be arraigned at the Serious Offences Court. The matter is still under active investigation…,” Mr Williams said, urging the public to continue cooperating with the police and expressing condolences to the affected families.
Mr Ryan faces six charges, namely three counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder.
Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of the Major Crimes Unit, Mr Trevor Bailey, thanked the public for their cooperation in the investigations so far.

“I want to start by saying that the general public was extremely cooperative with the police, and for this, we are extremely grateful. Because of your cooperation and some painstaking effort, long hours in the field, we are at the venture where we are today,” Mr Bailey said.
He added: “Now, we are at the stage where we have arrested one person. This is not the end of the investigation.”
He said the investigation has just commenced, and St Vincent and the Grenadines can rest assured that the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force “will leave no stone unturned in finding the other killers that are involved, and I want to underscore that.”
“We’re going to find you and bring you to justice,” Mr Bailey said.
Mr Bailey also revealed that police have received threats to their lives during the investigation.
“We have received some threats on our lives, but that will not deter us from finding you and bringing you to justice. Whoever you are, you cannot scare us. That’s what we do for a living. We investigate crimes and we’re not afraid of criminals,” Mr Bailey said.
On 16 May 2025, masked gunmen entered a shop in Belmont operated by Ms Leslyn Davis and “indiscriminately opened fire”. They killed Ms Davis, Mr Demeon Cumberbatch, and Mr Joel Browne.
Two individuals, including a 7-year-old student, were also injured in the ordeal. One of the injured has since been discharged from hospital.
Police continue to investigate.
