The Vincy Aeroclub successfully hosted an educational field trip undertaken on Thursday, May 22, 2025, to the Argyle International Airport (AIA).
A group of approximately 30 students and three teachers from the Bequia Seventh-day Adventist Secondary School and the Charles Adams Anglican High School participated in a comprehensive tour of the facility, including the air traffic control tower and the hangars. (Updated at 10:32 p.m. on May 28)
The initiative, led by the Vincy Aeroclub, a youth-focused aviation organization, aims to ignite passion for aviation among young Vincentians.
The club is spearheaded by Mr. Tavio Simmons (President), Mr. Tryson Marshall (Vice President), supported by Mr. Eroy “Ejay” John, alongside Vincy Aeroclub members and Airspeed Photography Team Mr. Joshua Anderson and Ms. Jahzara Glasgow.
The entire team accompanied the contingent on this landmark field trip.

Students selected came from various forms across both secondary schools, with priority given to those interested in aviation as a career. Form 4 Geography students were also included to explore the geographical aspects of flight. The trip provided a rare behind-the-scenes experience of airport operations, which many students described as both exciting and informative.
The Vincy Aeroclub expressed their sincere gratitude to its sponsors, Grenadines Initiative and Rise Up Bequia, without whom the event would not have been possible. Their generous contributions helped to fuel dreams and open horizons for Bequia’s youth.
According to Vice President Tryson Marshall, “This trip was just the beginning. We have more exciting activities in the pipeline now that we’ve sparked such a high level of interest among our students.”
