A local entrepreneur is set to launch the country’s first Key Master machine service on Friday, 30 May.
Mr Reyheem John, 22, who describes himself as a visionary leader for youth empowerment and social change, is the individual behind the initiative.
The Key Master is a prize redemption arcade machine developed by Sega Amusements. It challenges players to manoeuvre a key into a precisely aligned slot to unlock and retrieve a prize.
The machine features joystick and button controls, allowing players to move the key horizontally and vertically. Upon pressing a button, the key ascends and, if aligned correctly, unlocks the desired prize, which is then dispensed into a chute.
The machines, which will initially be located at Kenmars Mall in Kingstown, will enable users to play and win prizes.
A product demonstration will take place on Thursday, May 29 at 3:30 p.m., at Kenmars Mall where attendees can see the machines in action and have the chance to win prizes.
Mr John, who has been involved in community initiatives such as Bikes Up: Guns Down—aimed at reducing youth violence and promoting positive social engagement—has now turned his attention to this new project, which seeks to transform everyday life for people of all ages.
He said his latest venture with the Key Master machines focuses on providing fun, convenience, and affordability to young people and other demographics who face challenges accessing essential services and entertainment.
By leveraging technology, community engagement, and his understanding of young people’s needs, Mr John said he is working to create innovative solutions that bring joy, reduce barriers to access, and help people stay connected to their passions. Whether it is offering cost-effective alternatives for transportation, entertainment, or day-to-day activities, Mr John is committed to improving life for those who need it most.
The 22-year-old said he has a deep-rooted belief that innovation and community can go hand in hand. As such, Mr John aims to create opportunities for young people to thrive.
