Digicel Dominica said it is pleased to announce Melecia Abbot as its new Operations Manager.
In this role, Melecia will lead the organization and be responsible for the full day-to-day operations and general management of all departments within Digicel Dominica, the company said.
Having joined Digicel 12 years ago, Melecia, a Vincentian national, “has left her mark across multiple countries and in various leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Head of Consumer Sales and Services at Digicel St. Vincent and the Grenadines where she spearheaded initiatives in revenue growth, digital adoption and cross-functional team development,” Digicel Dominica said.
Commenting on her appointment as Operations Manager, Melecia said, “I am proud to have the opportunity to lead the Digicel operations in Dominica. It’s such a vibrant country and I look forward to meeting and serving our customers all across Dominica, sharing our vision of connecting and empowering people no matter where they are.”
Melecia also played a pivotal leadership role during challenging moments, including the volcanic eruption in St. Vincent in 2021 and Hurricane Beryl in 2024, demonstrating resilience, compassion and unwavering commitment to both people and performance.
Joel Wallace, Regional CEO for Digicel’s South West Indies Region said, “We are glad to welcome Melecia into this new role, as she brings a strong track record of delivering exceptional results and leading with vision and purpose.
