Vincentian soca sensation Angelique “Angie Maya” Garrawayhas won her second Soca Monarch crown for 2025, after winning North Leeward Soca Monarch.
The North Leeward resident, has been making waves with her hit song “Curry,” which previously won her the St. George’s Carnival Soca Monarch 2025 title.
At the North Leeward Soca Monarch show held at Venue- Wafulasuns Sports Bar in Cumberland, the 27-year-old was among 19 competitors, and she managed to outperform each of her rivals to take the top spot.

She wrote the song “Curry,” along with Rajiv “Suhrawh” Sutherland and Rasheid “Rawsheid” Sutherland, and it was recorded at Boss Raw Records.
The song is making waves in SVG, Grenada, and other Caribbean countries, and at the time of this brief interview’s posting, it had over 256,000 views on YouTube.
She recently told One News SVG that she has registered for the national versions of the Soca competitions.
