Trending musical sensation Lady Lava is back on the island of St. Vincent—and not just for the stage.
Lady Lava whose real name is Keisha Harris is from Trinidad and Tobago, but she has a Vincentian family connection.
In a heartfelt visit over the weekend, the vibrant performer reconnected with her maternal roots in Fancy, the northernmost village on mainland St. Vincent. It’s been over 20 years since Lady Lava last visited her family there (The ‘Stay’ Family of Fancy), making this homecoming extra emotional for both her and the community.
Her mother hails from the tiny coastal village, and her return stirred up joy and nostalgia among relatives who welcomed her with open arms and big smiles.
But Lady Lava isn’t just here for the family lime—she’s also here to put on a stellar performance at OverD.O.S.E. fete, happening today (Sunday) at the Arnos Vale Sporting Complex from 5 PM, presented by One784Promotions.
Known for infectious energy and bold lyricism, Lady Lava has carved her name into the Global music culture with tracks like “Ring Finger,” “Bedtime Story,” “Cha Cha Cha,” and the fierce anthem “Bob the Builder”.
Whether on stage or reconnecting with her roots, one thing is clear: Lady Lava’s Vincentian bloodline runs deep, and the island is proud to claim her.
