A show with a difference and a beach vibe: that is exactly what patrons can expect later today (22 June) at the southern end of the E. T. Joshua Tarmac, as the Carnival Development Corporation hosts the 2025 Bacchanal Bay.

Bacchanal Bay is the name of this year’s Ragga & Soca Monarch Semi-finals, which will see forty-four artistes (twenty-two in each category) take to the stage to vie for a place in the Finals, scheduled for Saturday, 5 July.

The beach-themed event caters for the entire family and begins at 2:00 p.m.

The event will begin with several activities including volley ball, dominoes, pool tables, water slides and the like, giving patrons more value for money and an opportunity to enjoy the venue before the contestants perform.

Nine competitors will be chosen to compete against the reigning Ragga Soca Monarch, Hance John, and ten competitors will be selected to compete against the reigning monarch, Delroy ‘Fireman’ Hooper.

Members of the public are urged to make a special effort to attend this spectacular event, which has an admission fee of $30.

The semifinalists and finalists are listed below.
