The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Netball Association has officially closed the 2025 Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (BOSVG) National Netball Tournament.
The tournament, which started on March 22nd, featured three months of high-spirited competition and standout performances.
The tournament treated patrons to three matches with the chance to crown the title in the Vitamalt Youth Development Division, Division 2, and Division 1.
North Leeward Youths took the Vitamalt Youth Development Division defeating Sion Hill Netball Team 3 by 34 to 10. This was followed by Division 2 Final, where Sion Hill Netball Team 1 continued
their dominance to take the double for the 2nd year, defeating Conroy Huggins Bagga United by 63 to 31.The final encounter saw DHL Mitres also doing the double by defeating Maple Netball Team in an exciting encounter 49 to 41.

Following the games, the prize giving ceremony was held to recognise and award the performances and contributions by players of the twenty-nine (29) teams that completed the tournament, officials, and supporters.
Spectator Edmund Peters made a special donation of an award to the Best Emerging Player of the Tournament, which went to Kalia Wyllie who in 2024 played in the Youth Development Division and also represented the Junior Vincy Jewels at the CNA Jean Pierre Under16 Tournament. This year, Kalia played in Division 1 and represented Inter Island Trading Inc. Mitres, where she received a player of the week award and also the Most Valuable Player (MVP) for her team.
Trustee and longstanding netball administrator Joan Foster Baynes, after witnessing the finals of the Coastal Adrenaline Male Division, also made a donation to Mr. Kirsta Bailey, Captain of AM Shottas. Baynes said “Bailey was the game changer and made amazing steals at very crucial points in the match.”
President of SVGNA Natasha Baptiste expressed her sincerest thanks to all who contributed to the success of the tournament. Baptiste said “This is our year of development, and with development comes challenges. But together, as a netball family, we are able to overcome these challenges.”

Minister of Sports Orando Brewster pledged the government’s commitment to sports and netball in SVG and told patrons that soon they can expect SVG to have it’s very first indoor facility along with seeing a number of facilitates across the nation being renovated.
Minister Brewster stated, “There are big things in store for sports in
SVG with the introduction of the first semi pro league both in football and netball as well as SVG hosting the 100th Edition of the Windward Islands Inter School Games from the 26th July to the 2nd of August.” He further stated the government’s commitment to supporting the Vincy Jewels’ title defence of the ECCB International Netball Series in Grenada from the 22nd of August to the 1st of September 2025.
