Labourer Pleads Not Guilty to Burglary and Property Damage Charges

Police have arrested and charged Devon Boyde, a 32-year-old Labourer of Ottley Hall/ Clare Valley, with the offences of Burglary and Damage to Property On June 27, 2025.

According to the investigations, the accused entered the provision shop of a 55-year-old Self-Employed resident of Belair as a trespasser and stole a quantity of items valued at $1,660.00 ECC and $500.00 ECC in cash.

He was also charged for, without lawful excuse, damaging three (3) Silver-Hardener Padlocks valued at $1,300.00 ECC, by smashing the same with an unknown object.


The offences were committed in Middle Street, Kingstown, between 6:30 p.m. on June 05, 2025, and 6:30 p.m. on June 06, 2025, respectively. Boyde appeared before the Serious Offences Court and pleaded not guilty.

He was granted bail in the sum of $3,000.00ECC with one surety and was ordered to have no contact with the virtual complainant. The matter was adjourned and transferred to the Kingstown Magistrate Court for trial on July 1, 2025.
