The Prime Ministerial Advisory Council on Youth is set to host its inaugural Talent Search initiative, entitled Ignite.
The competition will run from July 9 to August 17, 2025, and aims to showcase and develop talent in the cultural sector across St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Registration is now open through the Council’s official website, pmacy.gov.vc, and will close on July 20, 2025. Ignite is open to participants between the ages of 4 and 35.
Following registration, applicants will be scheduled for auditions from July 25 to July 27, 2025. The order of performances will be randomly selected and published on the Council’s website. From the auditions, 12 acts will advance to the semi-finals, and six will move on to the final round.
Participants will compete in a range of categories, including singing, dancing, drama, and magic. The winner will walk away with a $5,000 cash prize, a full calendar of performances, and a $75,000 scholarship to further their development. Semi-finalists will receive an appearance fee.

In addition to the competition, participants from the semi-final round onward will benefit from mentorship, including guidance on stage presence, media interviews, and performance techniques.
Scoring will be based on a combination of judges’ scores and public votes. Voting will take place through the Council’s website, and the public will be notified when voting opens.
This initiative marks another strategic move by the Council to strengthen the cultural sector—positioning it as a valuable support pillar for the growing tourism and sports industries. The goal is to build capacity, develop skills, and promote talent among Vincentian youth, both locally and within the diaspora.
The entire competition will be broadcasted on social media and Channel 114.
