Mr. Joshua Anderson – founder of Airspeed, local airplane spotting community – shared his first photo to Airspeed’s Instagram page: an InterCaribbean Embraer 170 departure shot on July 3rd, 2024.

That moment marked the beginning of a remarkable journey. What began as video captures of aircraft landings and departures quickly evolved into a growing passion for aviation photography.

Since then, Mr. Anderson has captured over 15 different airlines, with aircraft ranging from Twin Otters to larger jets as part of the Airbus and Boeing families.

Today, Airspeed is recognized for its exceptional work by international airlines and pilots including Virgin Atlantic, JetBlue, American Airlines and Caribbean Airlines. The platform has become highly sought after among pilots and first officers flying to St Vincent (SVD), who often request to have their arrivals and departures captured.

The company has also collaborated with regional airlines such as LIAT2020, Sunrise Airways, Air Adelphi, and Mustique Airways, showcasing their liveries in high quality.

In addition to digital displays, Airspeed offers canvas prints for purchase, featuring a variety of aircraft, bringing the beauty of aviation into homes and business spaces.

Locally, Airspeed’s photographs are frequently featured across media networks whenever aviation content is required. Through Airspeed, Joshua has sparked an appreciation for aviation among Vincentians, encouraging both admiration and a new generation of plane spotters.
