Windward Warriors defeated the Leeward Lions tonight (August 2), to claim third place in the inaugural Emancipation Cricket Festival (ECF).
The victory means the Windwards have redeemed themselves after a crushing defeat to the Grenadines Whalers on August 1.
In the match played at the Arnos Vale Stadium Windward Warriors batted first and scored 168/6 off their 20 overs, the highest score so far in the competition.
In reply, Leeward Lions scored 158/9 off 20 overs.
The final match in the four-day competition will take place tomorrow, August 3 where Grenadines Whalers will face Kingstown Kings.
