KOSCAB Holdings Ltd (“KOSCAB”) announced last Thursday its acquisition of a majority interest in St. Vincent Brewery Ltd (SVBL).

This acquisition is part of KOSCAB’s larger investment in SLU Beverages Ltd (“SLU”), a company that was part of Anheuser-Busch InBev SA/NV, one of the world’s largest beer companies. The company also acquired Banks Holdings Ltd (BHL) in Barbados, which includes Banks Brewery and Pine Hill Dairy.

KOSCAB currently manages Coca-Cola beverage operations in Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. This latest move provides a significant opportunity for the company to expand its business footprint across the region while supporting the growth of well-known brands such as Pine Hill, Banks, Hairoun, Wadadli, Kubuli, and all Coca-Cola affiliated products.

Under the leadership of Carlos Diaz, CEO of KOSCAB Holdings, the company plans to leverage its industry expertise to strengthen both BHL and SVBL, building on their established reputations across the Caribbean market.

Mr Diaz stated: “Several years ago, KOSCAB Holdings initiated a strategic plan to consolidate franchise bottling operations into larger, more efficient entities, while diversifying our beverage portfolio to meet evolving consumer preferences. The Caribbean market offers substantial opportunities to advance this strategy. We regard BHL and SVBL as valuable additions to our family of companies and value their role in our ongoing vision to become a comprehensive beverage company.”

KOSCAB will operate BHL and SVBL as independent entities, while adopting best practices in operations, product innovation, and service delivery throughout its network.

Shafia London has been appointed General Manager, with responsibility for overseeing the management and daily operations of the SLU group of companies—namely, BHL and SVBL—under the new ownership.

Ms London commented: “We welcome this transaction and the sustained investment in our production facilities. By continuing to strengthen our production capabilities and commercial operations, we expect to deliver enhanced services to our customers, foster market growth, and provide a robust platform for BHL and SVBL to contribute to the KOSCAB family and the socio-economic advancement of communities in Barbados and St Vincent.”

Both KOSCAB and Anheuser-Busch InBev SA/NV have expressed full confidence in the transition and affirmed that there will be no disruption to services as ownership changes take effect.
