The Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Venezuelan Institute for Culture and Cooperation in Saint Vincent & the Grenadines (SVG) have officially opened free enrolment for Spanish language courses running from 8 September to 4 December 2025.
The classes are being offered under operation “Hugo Chávez Frías”.
Aimed at promoting linguistic skills and cultural understanding, the initiative offers Vincentians the opportunity to learn one of the world’s most spoken languages while exploring Venezuelan music, history, gastronomy, and traditions.
Participants will also benefit from the potential to enhance their career prospects and academic opportunities.
The courses are available at various levels, with class sizes capped as follows: Level 1 (Beginners) accommodates 25 students per group, with sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Levels 3, 4, and 5 are limited to 12 places each, with Level 3 classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., Level 4 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., and Level 5 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.
Registration for the courses is open from 14 to 29 August 2025. Classes commence on Monday, 8 September.
