Massy Distribution (SVG) Ltd. has donated 40 packages of children’s diapers and wipes from a new baby care brand, “Winny,” to the Expectant Mothers Programme, run by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment.
Fifteen of those were distributed to the Georgetown Health District Antenatal Support Group on 13 August, 2025.
The Expectant Mothers Programme is being run through the Georgetown Health District Antenatal Support Group which commenced on 11 May in light of Mother’s Day. It has been held every other Wednesday since then and will conclude in September.
An antenatal support group for the Kingstown Health District is also scheduled to commence later in August.
These support groups aim to provide emotional, educational, and practical support to expectant mothers to ensure a healthy journey for both mother and baby. They are also intended to create a safe and welcoming space where pregnant women can learn about pregnancy, childbirth, newborn care, and mental and overall wellness, while also connecting with healthcare professionals and fellow mums-to-be.
The mothers expressed gratitude, stating that they were delighted to receive these new products and eager to try the Winny brand and share their experiences. The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment also extended appreciation to Massy Stores for their generous sponsorship of the recent Antenatal Support Group initiative.
This collaboration reflects a shared dedication to promoting a healthy and supported start for both mothers and newborns. The contribution from Massy Stores not only helped ease the financial burden on many families but also reinforced the importance of how Corporate Social Responsibility can advance public health and wellness.
