The month of August has so far produced three of the hottest days recorded in St. Vincent and the Grenadines this year.
In a Facebook post dated 15 August, the National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) reported that the third warmest day of 2025 was recorded at Argyle International Airport at 8:00 a.m. on 15 August, when the temperature reached 32.3°C.
NEMO added: “Last weekend saw the warmest days so far with 32.3°C recorded on 9 August at 12 noon and 32.6°C at 2:00 p.m. on 10 August 2025.”
The state-run disaster management agency further noted: “We are approaching the traditional peak of the Atlantic hurricane season, and we can expect warmer, uncomfortable days. Stay hydrated, stay protected, be prepared.”
