UWI Global Campus SVG to Host Student Orientation Today (Aug 19)

The University of the West Indies (UWI) Global Campus in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) has announced its Student Orientation session, scheduled for today at 4:30 p.m. at the UWI Global Campus SVG facility.

The orientation aims to welcome both new and continuing students for the 2025/2026 academic year and help those commencing studies in Semester 1 (beginning August 2025) become acquainted with the campus, its resources, and the wide range of support available. Continuing students, including those who began their studies in January 2025, are also encouraged to attend.

The programme will feature presentations from UWI Global Campus SVG staff, representatives of government and private sector organisations, and the SVG Guild of Students.

Attendees will also receive detailed information on opportunities such as scholarships, which may help ease the cost of their studies.

Students will have the opportunity to tour the entire facility, gaining a first-hand experience of the campus environment.

Dr Resa Noel-McBarnett, Head of Site at the UWI Global Campus SVG, noted that the orientation marks another step in ensuring students feel connected, informed, and prepared to succeed in their academic journey.
