The Canouan Secondary School is celebrating another outstanding success at the recently released Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Examinations, with students recording impressive performances across a wide range of subject areas, once again proving its commitment to academic excellence.
This year, students at the Canouan Secondary School achieved a pass rate of 85.2%, with eight (8) subjects boasting 100% passes. These subject areas are:
English A
Information Technology
Biology
Geography
Principles of Business
Food and Nutrition
Physical Education
Technical Drawings
Principal Mr. Terry Ollivierre expressed pride in the students’ achievements, noting that the results are a testament to resilience and determination despite challenges with the devastation faced by hurricane Beryl which had caused severe damages to the school and homes in Canouan. The principal stated that “Our students have shown remarkable perseverance and discipline. These results are not just a reflection of their academic ability, but also their commitment to hard work and determination to succeed in difficult times. It is a direct commitment to the school’s motto “Learn Perform Excel and the hard work and dedication of the teachers.”
Among the top performers are Anya Allen the school’s valedictorian who earned nine (9) passes and Tianna Lewis who also earned nine (9) passes.
Several other students also distinguished themselves securing six to eight passes. Dellicia King and Aron Jack (8 passes), Tatiana Francis, Demetriua Garraway and Shi-Ann King (7 passes each) and Diquan De Roche, Nea Mc Laurean, Teddisha Snagg, Shakura Williams, Star Daniel and Noah Laidlow (6 subjects each)
The Canouan Secondary School remains committed to maintaining high standards of education and preparing its students for the opportunities that are available. The school’s strong performance in the 2025 CSEC examinations has once again affirmed its place as a leading institution of learning.
