Unlock the Chili Playing Field: Restoring Community Access

For three long months, the Chili playing field has remained locked, depriving locals of a vital community space. The international friendly match that led to its closure may be over, but the impact on residents continues.

Why Reopen the Field?

1.Community Need: The Chili playing field is a cherished spot for recreation, sports, and socializing. Locals rely on it for exercise, entertainment, and community building.

2. Health and Wellness: Prolonged closure affects residents’ physical and mental well-being. Access to green spaces and recreational areas is essential for a healthy lifestyle.

3. Economic Impact: Local businesses and events often utilize the field. Its closure may be hurting the local economy.

4. Community Engagement: The field fosters social connections and a sense of community. Reopening it would help rebuild relationships and promote community spirit.

Call to Action

We urge authorities to prioritize reopening the Chili playing field. By doing so, they can:

Finally, the park is open for the North East Football League (NEFL) competition. It has been on complete lockdown for locals to use when the competition is not going on. We, the locals, demand answers as to why locals can not use the facility when no football is going on.
