Vincentians with a heart for service are being called to join the Kiwanis Club of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), where members support children through educational programmes, youth empowerment initiatives, and character-building activities, while also strengthening communities.
For over a century, the Kiwanis Club of SVG has been organising activities to improve the lives of those it serves. The club is part of the global Kiwanis family, a volunteer organisation of members from all walks of life who are committed to improving the lives of children and building stronger communities.
Its membership includes teachers, professionals, entrepreneurs, students, and everyday citizens, all united by one purpose: to make a difference where it matters most – right at home.
Kiwanis International is known worldwide for its motto, “Serving the Children of the World.” “Here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the Kiwanis Club of SVG has embraced that same mission with passion, energy, and dedication,” the club stated.
The club is actively involved in community initiatives aimed at touching lives and inspiring hope. Its projects include youth empowerment through mentoring programmes, football meets, academic awards, and public speaking competitions designed to help young people discover their potential. Educational support is provided through school supplies, scholarships, and initiatives such as BUG (Bringing Up Grades), which encourages academic excellence among primary and secondary students. Community outreach activities include food drives, senior citizen care visits, and environmental clean-ups to improve lives and strengthen neighborhoods. The club also celebrates fellowship and impact through events such as the anniversary tea party, where service, friendship, and positive community contributions are highlighted.
Through membership in the Kiwanis Club of SVG, individuals can expect opportunities to network with like-minded professionals and community leaders, develop leadership and project management skills, gain public speaking experience, create lasting friendships through fellowship, and directly impact the lives of children and families in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
Interested persons are encouraged to contact the Kiwanis Club of SVG by emailing kiwanis628svgclub@gmail.com for more information on how to become a member.
