The public is being invited to take part in this year’s State of the Tourism Industry Address and Stakeholders’ Conference, which will review the performance of the sector, highlight key challenges, and set the direction for growth in the year ahead.
The event, hosted by the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development and Culture in collaboration with the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority, will be held under the theme “Strength in Unity: Advancing the Vincentian Visitor Experience”. It is scheduled for Monday, 15th September, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Kingstown. The conference serves as an annual forum for tourism leaders, stakeholders, and partners across the country.
Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development and Culture, Carlos James, will deliver the keynote State of the Tourism Industry Address. His presentation will provide updates on the performance of the sector while outlining new initiatives to enhance St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ position in the global tourism market.
The event is expected to bring together representatives from government, airlines, cruise lines, hotels, tour operators, community organisations, and youth groups. Discussions will focus on improving collaboration, financing, and community involvement, while ensuring the tourism product evolves in a unified and sustainable manner.

“Tourism is not just one industry among many, it is a connector that impacts aviation, hospitality, culture, sport, and communities. This conference provides a unique platform for all stakeholders to engage, collaborate, and help shape the future of tourism in St Vincent and the Grenadines,” Minister James said.
The day’s agenda includes presentations from executives in the cruise, airline, and hotel sectors, a policy session on the Coastal and Beach Vending Bill with a question-and-answer segment, and contributions from community laders. The conference will also highlight the views of young people, with insights from the Junior Minister of Tourism, hospitality students, and creative entrepreneurs.
According to the Tourism Authority, the conference offers participants the opportunity to gain first-hand insights into the current state and future direction of the industry, contribute to discussions on connectivity, product development, service standards, and cultural integration, and network with local and international stakeholders.
All tourism partners including accommodation providers, tour operators, cultural practitioners, transport operators, business leaders and community-based entrepreneurs are encouraged to attend. The Authority emphasised that the event is designed to strengthen collaboration and reinforce St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ reputation as an authentic, world-class destination.
