Brighton Methodist School recently received a variety of school supplies and equipment through the Holiday Inn’s Giving for Good initiative, made possible in partnership with several local businesses.

The presentation, held at the school, featured items such as books, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, shoes, scissors, floor mats, and a projector.

Sales Director of Holiday Inn, Felicia George, explained that the initiative is part of a wider effort to support students as they return to school. She noted that the partnership included contributions from Diamond Terrace, Diamond Grocery Inc., Myah’s Hotel, Reliable Construction Services Ltd., National Properties, and Browne’s Hardware Supplies.

“We are here to present these back-to-school items that contribute to fuelling young minds,” Felicia said, thanking the partners for joining Holiday Inn in making the initiative a success. “We are working closer together to uplift the communities of Brighton and Diamond.”

Principal of Brighton Methodist School, Rebecca Snagg, expressed gratitude for the donation, stating: “On behalf of the parents of Brighton Methodist School, let me thank all the partners who partnered with Holiday Inn to give us these tokens. Thank you very much.”

Representatives from the partnering businesses echoed their commitment to the initiative. Monique Nash, manager at Diamond Terrace, speaking on behalf of her team, said they were proud to support Giving for Good. Reliable Construction also encouraged students to use the gifts wisely, reminding them of the value of education and skills for the future.

The Holiday Inn and its corporate partners pledged to continue building on the initiative in the months ahead.
