The Youlou Arts Foundation will resume its Saturday art classes for children ages 5 to 12 beginning September 27, 2025.

The classes, which run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., provide children with an opportunity to explore different forms of art in a fun and practical way.

Since its inception in 1999, the Foundation has worked to nurture creativity among Vincentian youth and promote the growth of the arts nationwide. Each July for the past 24 years, Youlou Arts has organised art activities for children through its Growing Young SVG Artists programme, which has been held in communities including Kingstown, Barrouallie, Georgetown, Spring Village, Buccament Bay and Tourama.

This year, the Foundation also collaborated with the National Parks, Rivers and Beaches Authority to host Conservation Guardians, an initiative designed to teach children about caring for the environment through activities such as compost-making, logo design, and collage-making featuring the national parrot.

Parents and guardians who wish to register their children for the upcoming Saturday classes can call (784) 457-4493 / (784) 497-0226 or email youlouartcentre@gmail.com.

The Foundation says its aim is to empower young people to be creative while learning about their culture, history and heritage.
