Celina Clouden Hospital in Union Island received 8 fans from Courts St. Vincent Ltd., to assist in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl, which struck in July 2024.

The hospital formally requested a donation of eight fans to help improve the comfort of patients, staff, and visitors as they continue their recovery process.

The hospital noted that, despite the challenges and constraints faced, they have remained committed to serving the community and providing essential health care to the people of Union Island and the wider Grenadines.

Courts St. Vincent Ltd delivered the requested fans to Union Island on September 17.

Sister Jones of the hospital expressed gratitude to Courts St. Vincent Ltd. for the donation and stated: “We’re into September, and it’s very hot. We are experiencing some very hot weather, and it’s very uncomfortable to work in such conditions.”

She also said, “We know that it will make it much more comfortable for us to work. We can concentrate more. And not only for us, but also for the patients on the wards, so at least they can get a little cool breeze and be able to rest more comfortably.”

Courts St. Vincent Ltd.’s Marketing Officer Ms. Lisa Veira says that they are a company that takes corporate social responsibility very seriously and really wants to be a part of the efforts to rebuild the Grenadines. She also noted that some of their best customers are from the Grenadines and that they want to give back to institutions that are themselves helping people.

Ms. Veira also said that donating to the hospital in Union speaks volumes in terms of partnering with an entity that is looking out for the well-being of the residents of the islands.
