FunSize System 3 clinched the SEDI Football Tournament 2025 title on September 21 in Stubbs with a 4–1 victory over One Experience, earning the top cash prize and medals in the community competition sponsored by Acado Carib Beer.
Ms. Joeleen Doyle, President of SEDI, said that the South East Development Inc (SEDI) Football Tournament 2025 saw overwhelming enthusiasm from the football community, with 12 teams accepted to compete after registering early.
These teams were divided into two zones of six, with the top four from each advancing to the quarter-finals.
The Tournament concluded with FunSize System 3 defeating One Experience in the finals, led by a hat-trick from Azhino Solomon and a goal from Isiah Charles, while Curlan Joseph scored for One Experience.
Awesome FC placed third after winning their playoff by default against Louie Daisley Village Ballers.
FunSize System 3 claimed first place and the $2,500 cash prize along with medals, One Experience secured second place and $1,500 with medals, and Awesome FC took third place with $1,000. Special awards were presented to Azhino Solomon (Finals MVP), Chad Strough of Awesome FC (Most Goals – 8), Zeddy Milington of One Experience (Best Midfielder), Gussy Adams of One Experience (Best Defender), Kizani Haynes of One Experience (Best Goalkeeper), and GST Elite Warriors (Most Disciplined Team).
Additionally, special presentations were made to Mr. Cetroy Wilkes for his continued commitment to football in the Stubbs community and to Mr. Edwin “Eddie” Charles and Mr. Frankie Lovelace on behalf of SEDI.
Organizers extended heartfelt thanks to the major sponsor, Acado Carib Beer, whose support made the event possible by providing all trophies and cash prizes and to other sponsors.
