No. 23 Ranger Guides Unit Elects New Executive Team

The No. 23 Ranger Guides Unit of the Girl Guides Association of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has announced the results of its newly elected executive team, following its recently held elections.

The Unit stated: “The election saw enthusiastic participation from members, with spirited campaigns and a strong turnout that reflects the Rangers’ commitment to leadership and service.”

Guides turned out in strong numbers to elect their new executive, filling positions across the leadership team. Mariah Matthews emerged as Chairperson with an overwhelming mandate of 101 votes, while Amara Sterling secured the role of Deputy Chairperson with 93 votes. In the secretariat, Afiya Clasp was elected Secretary with 96 votes, with Shaune Jackson serving as Deputy Secretary.

Annaliese Mapp was chosen as Treasurer with 74 votes, supported by Shazara James as Deputy Treasurer. For fundraising, Tyri McKenzie Oliver was elected Officer with 73 votes, joined by Shashonna Hewitt as Deputy. Meanwhile, Kevisha Richardson became the new Public Relations Officer with 56 votes, assisted by deputies Alexi James and Kenya Lavia.

In publications, Camella Harry was confirmed as Publications Officer with 102 votes. Project development will be led by Jaida Jackson, elected with 77 votes, alongside Deputy Shenea Stephens. The logbook will be managed by Kiana Bailey, elected Keeper with 73 votes, with Leah Archibald as Deputy.

Among the year representatives, London Jackson secured the Year 1 seat with 43 votes, supported by deputies Christel Sutherland and Micah Williams Jack. For Year 2, Anicia DeRoche was elected with 96 votes, while Lau Browne captured the Year 3 post with 96 votes.

“These results reflect the Rangers’ confidence in their peers to carry forward the values of leadership, service, and advocacy that define the Girl Guides Association,” the Unit said.

The Unit extended heartfelt congratulations to all elected members and expressed optimism for a dynamic year of service, creativity, and growth under their leadership.
