1,235 SVGCC Students to Receive Laptops from the Government

One thousand, two hundred and thirty-five (1,235) first-year students of the St Vincent & the Grenadines Community College (SVGCC) will receive laptops from the Government of St Vincent & the Grenadines this Thursday and Friday, 2–3 October 2025.

The distribution of the ASUS laptops will take place over two official ceremonies.

The first ceremony will be held at the Villa Campus on Thursday, 2 October 2025 at 2:00 p.m., during which students from the Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies will receive 573 laptops and the Division of Teacher Education  will receive 26 laptops — a total of 599 laptops on that day.

The second ceremony will take place at the Arnos Vale Campus on Friday, 3 October 2025 at 10:00 a.m., at which students from the Division of Technical and Vocational Education will receive 605 laptops, and those in the Division of Nursing Education will receive 31 laptops —  a total of 636 laptops.

The feature speaker at both ceremonies will be the Prime Minister, Dr Ralph E. Gonsalves. On Thursday, 2 October, Camillo Gonsalves, Minister of Finance, will deliver brief remarks, while on Friday, 3 October, Curtis King, Minister of Education and National Reconciliation, will address the gathering.
