Woman accused of causing boyfriend’s death with stab gets bail

Brittany Audain, the woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend to death, has been granted bail in the sum of $30,000.

She faces a manslaughter charge.

The accused, originally from Barrouallie, appeared before the Serious Offences Court today (9 October), where she responded to the charge that, within the third magisterial district, she unlawfully caused the death of Denroy Black of Glen, contrary to section 163(1) of Chapter 171 of 2009.

The matter has been adjourned to a later date.

Background

The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) continues its homicide investigation following an incident at approximately 12:50 a.m. on Tuesday, 7 October 2025, in Glen.

The deceased has been identified as Mr Denroy Black, 31 years old, labourer of Glen. Preliminary reports indicate that Mr Black sustained a stab wound to the neck following an altercation. He succumbed to his injury while being transported to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH) for medical care.

Audain was then a suspect in police custody and was assisting investigators with their inquiries after which she was formally charged.

A post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
