Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has assured the public that the Financial Complex remains structurally sound, following recent reports of unexplained tremors at the government’s main administrative building.

Responding to media inquiries, Prime Minister Gonsalves acknowledged that the complex had experienced intermittent shaking. However, he emphasized that these occurrences were “episodic” and not indicative of any underlying structural defect.

“There is no cause for alarm,” Gonsalves stated. “These are events that happen from time to time. Competent local engineers have assessed the situation and submitted a report to Cabinet confirming that all is well.”

The reassurance comes after multiple media outlets, including One News SVG, reported on the tremors reported by the staff on October 6th, 2025. Despite public concern, government operations at the Financial Complex have continued uninterrupted, with staff resuming work as normal.

The Prime Minister’s comments aim to quell speculation and reinforce public confidence in the integrity of the facility, which houses several key government departments.
