UPDATE: Elderly Man Who Died in Mahaut House Fire Identified

Police say they are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an elderly male resident, Mr. Kelvin Murray, 72 years old, of Mahaut (also spelled Mahoe), Campden Park, who died in a fatal house fire in the community on the night of Monday, November 3, 2025.

In a press release, police stated that they received information about the fire at approximately 9:00 p.m. Upon arrival, officers observed a flat concrete structure engulfed in flames.

The Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) Fire Brigade responded and successfully extinguished the blaze. The District Medical Officer pronounced Mr. Murray dead at the scene.

The RSVGPF said it extends condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
