The Former President of the opposition New Democratic Party – NDP Young Democrats, Ms. Vakeesha John says she will vote for the Unity Labour Party in the next general election.
The next general election will be held on Thursday, November 27, 2025.
In a video posted on Facebook by the Unity Labour Party, Ms. John, who hails from Central Leeward, referred to opposition leader Dr Godwin Friday’s approach as “chaotic” and said she “experienced Godwin Friday’s laziness with her own eyes.”
She also said the code for youth development is good leadership and that she will own the future with a Unity Labour Party government.
Ms. John said she has been an NDP supporter for all her life.
She is the latest opposition member to have endorsed the ULP publicly after a once ardent supporter in the Southern Grenadines endorsed the ULP’s candidate Shevonne Stewart.
People on both sides have been expressing their democratic rights to change allegiances.
Both major political parties have been ramping up their campaigns ahead of the November 27 poll.
