In his first official public appearance as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Investment, Foreign Trade, and Diaspora Affairs, Hon. Fitzgerald Bramble reaffirmed the government’s commitment to engaging Vincentians abroad as a vital extension of the national community.

Minister Bramble expressed gratitude to the people of East Kingston for returning him to Parliament for a second consecutive term. He also acknowledged the “humongous mandate” given to the administration to manage the country’s development affairs over the next five years.

Against a backdrop of shifting geopolitics, economic uncertainty, and rapid technological change, Bramble emphasized the need for small developing states like Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to adopt creative and realistic foreign, trade, and investment policies.

The Minister highlighted the diaspora’s role in nation-building, stressing that Vincentians abroad are integral to the country’s development. He announced that diplomatic missions and embassies will be strengthened to ensure effective implementation of government policies.

“Our diplomatic missions and embassies will therefore be equipped with officials and staff who are not only qualified, but who can be trusted to implement the policies of our government, our new administration,” Bramble stated.

He further emphasized that the government will continue to engage regional and multinational organizations, reaffirming commitments to cooperation in the interest of national and regional well-being.

Bramble concluded by assuring citizens that the administration remains resolute in building partnerships across the international sphere to secure the best environment for the advancement of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
