Barrouallie Secondary School has announced the activities marking its 55th Anniversary, including a School Pride March and Parade and press launch on Friday, January 9, 2026. The event will officially kickstart a series of commemorative activities under the theme: “Honouring Our Heritage, Building the Future.”

“The School Pride March and Parade will begin at the old school grounds at Pierre Hughes and proceed to the new Barrouallie Secondary School compound at Peter’s Hope, where an official press launch will be hosted. This symbolic journey represents the school’s growth, resilience, and steadfast commitment to excellence over the past fifty-five years,” the school said.

The march was originally planned for November 20, 2025, but was moved to January 9, 2026, due to school exams and general election activities, and incorporated into the school’s 55th anniversary celebrations.

Students will march in full uniform, and alumni and supporters can wear school-branded shirts or items in the school colours.

In addition, a Thanksgiving Church Service will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Barrouallie Evangelical Church. Attendees are encouraged to wear the special 55th Anniversary commemorative T-shirt, which—along with other anniversary memorabilia—will be available for purchase at the school. Alternatively, persons may wear blue and yellow attire, the official school colours.

The anniversary celebrations highlight 55 years of academic excellence, community engagement, and student development at Barrouallie Secondary School.
