Seven in Critical Condition Following South Union Road Accident

The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) has stated that seven individuals are reportedly in critical condition following a motor vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 7:50 a.m. on January 19, 2026, along the South Union Public Road.

Police say preliminary reports indicate that a red Toyota minivan, which was travelling along the South Union Public Road, experienced mechanical difficulties, resulting in the vehicle colliding with a utility pole and overturning.

“As a result of the accident, several occupants sustained injuries and were transported to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital for medical treatment. At this time, seven persons are reportedly in critical condition,” police said.

The RSVGPF said it is continuing investigations into the matter and is urging motorists to exercise caution, ensure vehicles are in good mechanical condition, and adhere to road safety practices.
