Forty families in the Brighton and Diamond communities received donation bags containing non-perishable food and essential household supplies through the Rotaract Club of Kingstown’s One Wish Project on Saturday, January 24, 2026. The initiative aimed to support vulnerable households across the communities.

The project, described by the club as a two-phase initiative, began with the collection of donations from members, prospective members, and the public. Volunteers were stationed at several supermarkets, including C.K. Greaves and Massy Stores Arnos Vale, with an additional donation drop-off box located at Massy Stores Kingstown.

Donations were accepted from December 10, 2025, and continued until January 17, 2026, to support the project’s objectives.
Following the donation period, members and volunteers packaged the collected items on January 18 and January 22, 2026.

A total of 40 donation bags were distributed to 40 families on January 24, 2026, benefiting approximately 160 individuals.

The Rotaract Club of Kingstown expressed sincere appreciation to the supermarkets and media outlets that collaborated to make the initiative possible. Special thanks were also extended to the Social Development Department of the Ministry of Social Welfare and Community Empowerment, Disaster Management and National Heritage for selecting beneficiaries and serving as the primary liaison between the club and recipients.
