The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force said it is investigating a violent altercation involving groups of young people which began at a business establishment in Kingstown and continued at another location. The incidents, which were captured and circulated on social media, caused significant disruption and placed patrons and bystanders at risk.

In a statement issued on February 14, the RSVGPF said it views this conduct as reckless and wholly unacceptable. Investigators are reviewing video footage, witness accounts, and all available intelligence. Those persons involved are in the process of being identified.

“The necessary enforcement actions will follow based on the evidence,” police said.

“Members of the public who were present, or who may have recordings or information, are urged to assist the police. You can call Police Control at 1784-457-1211. Community cooperation remains critical in restoring order and ensuring accountability.”

The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force said it will not permit public spaces, businesses, or transportation areas to become arenas for violence and intimidation. Such conduct threatens the safety of law-abiding citizens and will be addressed with the full weight of the law.

This investigation remains active. Further updates will follow, the release added.
