A student at a secondary school in Kingstown was found in possession of a gun on the school compound.
Confirmed reports indicate that the weapon was discovered during a routine search today, 16 February.
The school, which will not be named here, conducts such searches as a standard security measure.
No information has been released regarding the outcome of the incident.
This disturbing news has unsettled other students and the wider community, coming amid a recent spate of violent incidents involving young people in Kingstown. Some of those incidents are alleged to be gang-related.
