Playaz Youth Academy (PYA) secured the 2026 SVGCC Invitational Basketball Competition title after completing an undefeated 7–0 campaign.

The Academy won all seven of their matches to claim the championship, demonstrating consistency on both offence and defence throughout the tournament.

Captain Tayon Burgin led the team’s efforts and was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Final. He also received Team MVP and Team Most Improved Player honours. Vice-Captain Zwayne Fisher was recognised as the tournament’s Top Defensive Player for his defensive presence and ability to limit opposing attacks.

Aquando Henry earned a Defensive Mention for his contribution on the defensive end, while also providing important scoring support during the competition.

Two players from the Academy who represented other teams in the Invitational were also recognised. Temal Gopaul, playing with DASGS All Stars, was named Team MVP, and Kenroy Trimmingham of DTVE Ballers received the Team Most Improved Player award.

Head Coach Orlando “Coach Lando” Fergusson said the unbeaten run reflected the players’ commitment and discipline throughout the competition.
The 7–0 finish marks a significant achievement for Playaz Youth Academy and highlights the continued development of youth basketball talent in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
