The Paradise Beach Hotel was the venue for the launch of DEP Sports Strategies, a new consultancy firm founded by Devron Poyer. The initiative is designed to support sports organisations in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and across the wider Caribbean.

Poyer, a former General Secretary of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation, outlined the purpose of the consultancy. He said the organisation will provide governance support, strategic planning, and operational assistance to clubs, associations, and federations.

Speaking at the launch, Poyer explained: “DEP Sport Strategies is about being that source that energises and powers your life battery for your organisation, bringing you back to a hundred percent so you can power your clubs, teams, and the nation as a whole.”

The consultancy intends to address issues such as constitutions, funding, access to venues, and administrative gaps. It will also prepare proposals for infrastructure development, including lighting for playing fields and swimming facilities. Poyer said the organisation will work with ministries, schools, and associations to strengthen coordination and improve standards.

DEP Sports Strategies plans to host workshops and training sessions for executives and committees. It will also assist with project writing to secure funding for sports development. Poyer added that the consultancy will conduct assessments of organisations and communities to identify needs and create tailored plans.

The launch was attended by representatives from several sporting bodies, including netball, athletics, volleyball, and football. Poyer emphasised collaboration, stating: “Let’s just have a conversation, let’s just have a consultation session, we would dialogue with the stakeholders, we would dialogue with the necessary partners, and we would fill that gap for you.”

The event concluded with a call for organisations to engage DEP Sports Strategies to strengthen administration and improve the sporting environment in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
