History was made on Friday, March 27, 2026, as Aava Briggs was crowned the first-ever Miss Pamelus Burke Government School (PBGS) Heritage Queen 2026 during the school’s inaugural heritage pageant.
Held on the school grounds, the Miss PBGS Heritage Pageant 2026 brought together culture, elegance, talent and national pride in what organisers described as an unforgettable evening.
Patrons were treated to a vibrant showcase as five young contestants took to the stage, each proudly representing different aspects of the country’s heritage and displaying confidence, creativity and poise throughout the competition.

The contestants were judged in several categories, including ambassadorial speech, sportswear, cultural wear, talent, and interview. Each participant delivered impressive performances, making the competition both entertaining and inspiring.
Briggs, who represented the Botanical Gardens, stood out with her grace, intelligence, and overall stage presence, securing the coveted crown and making her mark in the school’s history books. In addition to winning the title, she also captured several major awards, including Best Ambassadorial Speech, Best Cultural Wear, and Best Interview.
The evening also recognised the outstanding efforts of the other contestants through special awards. Skyla Horne, representing Fort Charlotte, was awarded Miss Photogenic, while Allysa Roberts, representing La Soufrière, received both Miss Congeniality and Best Sportswear. Kevanique Joseph, representing Dark View Falls, earned the award for Best Talent.

In the final results, Allysa Roberts was named second runner-up, while Kevanique Joseph secured the position of first runner-up.
As the newly crowned Miss PBGS Heritage Queen 2026, Briggs now begins her reign as a symbol of excellence, culture, and pride for the school community.
School officials praised all five contestants for their hard work and remarkable performances, emphasising that each young lady represented different aspects of the nation’s heritage with distinction and made the inaugural event a resounding success.
The pageant is expected to become a meaningful tradition for the school, celebrating heritage, confidence, and the talents of its students for years to come.
