The Inland Revenue Department has issued a statement reminding taxpayers that several important tax obligations are due on March 31.

“Taxpayers are encouraged to ensure that all filings and payments are submitted on time to avoid penalties, interest, and unnecessary delays,” the Department said.

The Department outlined several key tax obligations that taxpayers must meet by the March 31 deadline.

Employees are required to file their 2025 Personal Income Tax Returns by March 31. Taxpayers are encouraged to submit their returns online via the eTax portal at https://etax.gov.vc.

Sole traders and self-employed professionals must complete and submit their Income Tax Returns using the manual form. These returns, along with Profit and Loss Statements and other supporting financial documents, should be submitted to the Customer Service Desk at the Inland Revenue Department’s office in Kingstown.

Businesses with a financial year ending December 31 are also reminded that their Corporate Income Tax Returns are due on March 31 and must be submitted to the Inland Revenue Department.

The Department further reminded unincorporated businesses, self-employed professionals, and companies with financial year-ends in March, June, September, and December that the first instalment of Estimated Tax is also due on March 31.

Additionally, companies with a financial year ending November 30 are required to submit their Economic Substance Returns by the same deadline. These returns may be submitted via email to irdeconomicsubstance@gov.vc.

Businesses operating under Liquor Licences are reminded that renewals must be completed by March 31 to remain compliant.

Motorists are also advised that Motor Vehicle Licences are due for renewal by March 31 for vehicles with registration numbers ending in 3 and those with second-half year registration numbers ending in 9.

The Inland Revenue Department encourages taxpayers to submit their filings and payments early to avoid congestion and ensure timely processing.

Persons requiring assistance are encouraged to contact the Inland Revenue Department via telephone at (784) 456-6099 or email at svgird@gov.vc, or visit its office in Kingstown for guidance.

The Department thanks taxpayers for their continued cooperation in meeting their tax obligations and contributing to national development.
