Man Hit By “Stray Bullet” In Stoney Ground Shooting

A man was hit by what is reported to be a ‘stray bullet’ in the Stoney Ground shooting earlier this afternoon (April 10). 

Reports are that the man was shot in the foot below his knee.  

The 66-year-old man has been identified as Maurice Matthews. He is the father of a popular young entrepreneur who operates in the Stoney Ground area. 

Sources close to the matter say he is receiving treatment at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital. 

Reports are that at least one vehicle was damaged in the shooting incident.

The original incident 

Two people are dead after a shooting incident at Stoney Ground.

One was shot inside the Russell’s Shopping Complex while the other was shot outside.

Reports are that an unknown assailant opened fire inside the complex, killing one person.

Another person was found with gunshot wounds outside.

The deceased have been identified as Enrique Shubou John and Raheem Guy. Our source, who is always reliable, has apologized for the incorrectly placed second name given before.
