Hours after two men from Layou, Central Leeward, were killed in Kingstown in a double homicide on April 10, another one was found dead in Buccament on April 12.
Dead is Mr Perrance Matthews, a resident of Layou. His age was not provided at the time of this report.
His body was found on a riverbank in Buccament with apparent gunshot wounds.
Residents reported hearing several gunshots in the vicinity the previous evening (April 11), sometime after 5:00.
The incident has heightened concerns among Buccament’s peaceful community.
Mr. Matthew’s death comes after those of Enrique John, 29 years, labourer, and Raheem Guy, 22 years, labourer, both of Layou, who sustained gunshot injuries during the incident in Kingstown on Friday, April 10.
Another person, who was shot in the vicinity, by what appears to be a stray bullet, was hospitalized.
Multiple vehicles were damaged in the April 10 ordeal. Police have asked that anyone with information that can support the investigations come forward.
