A 65-year-old man from the Colonarie area in North Central Windward has died after sustaining injuries in an altercation with a teenager.
The man has been named as Winston McMillan. He is also known by the alias Red Ants.
Reports indicate that an altercation occurred between the two individuals on Thursday (April 9). During the incident, a knife was produced, and the man was struck on the head, allegedly with a piece of wood.
Mr McMillan was transported to Georgetown Hospital, where he was placed on life support. He died on Friday evening (April 10).
Some villagers report that tensions between the man and the teen are not new.
The teenager, a female, has been taken into police custody.
A post-mortem is expected to be conducted on the man’s body to determine the exact cause of his death.
